The main reason for purchase was the easy mechanism to control a device via Alexa. Set up was easy despite the lack of instructions and works with my smartphone, albeit with a primitive user interface. However, I couldn't get Alexa to recognize the device after several attempts, no matter if it linked the Smart Life app or the Tuya app. It just doesn't recognize the device, which means I don't have voice control. I wrote to customer service several times explaining my problem and they honestly didn't help. They kept telling me to check everything I could and didn't specifically address my issue. I bought it because the general reviews for Revain were good. In hindsight I should have checked the reviews on the Smart Life app via Alexa as it seems a lot of people are having the same issue as me. So overall this only gets 1 star for my purpose; If I didn't want Alexa integration it would be higher. It also worries me that Revain would allow such manufacturers to claim integration with a Revain product when it is clearly highly variable and certainly incompatible.
