It works best in home automation devices though

This sensor BUT only works with the Aqara hub. The fact that the Zigbee protocol is used is meaningless. In comparison, it looks like a device that connects via WiFi, but you can only use it with a router of the same brand. I know Akara will say it's a "security element," but let's call it what it is corporate greed.

Returned, not integrated - concentrator actual need

I then returned the goods. I have basic smart connections at home and most of them worked without their proprietary hub even if they said it was a requirement. This device was easy to add but my Samsung SmartThings app couldn't control it - it kept saying it's been updated for about 2 days. Deleted it from my account and tried again. Bring it back one day.

Nice little guy with a caveat

Very small and well packaged. I have Hubitat and it works fine with 3rd party drivers. Note, however, that vibration detection is not continuous, but intermittent. If you're thinking of using it to automate timers for your washer and/or dryer, be prepared for a lot of headaches. That being said, it works very well for other purposes and has more than just vibration, such as: B. a sudden fall. Definitely a cool product if you have a creative need or desire. 4 stars for helpfulness. 1 star…

Works surprisingly well

I use this with Aqara Hub, several other Aqara devices and Homekit mode. It's amazingly responsive, but not overly sensitive in my app. I hung it on hanging bells that my dog bangs when he wants to go outside. That way, if we're not within earshot of the bells, we'll still get an alert on our phones. The alert comes about a second after he clicks it, so I'm happy. Reliability was excellent after a few weeks. However, there is no good way to set this to something. I had to fiddle with the…

Nice and small sensor that works well

It was easy to connect and the perfect size for this type of sensor. It comes with a small sticky circle to stick it to or on objects. I warn you, this is a special sensor, it's not exactly the same as a door open sensor or motion sensor. It measures vibration, so it can be used to track openings of cabinets, watch drawers, or other closed objects. You could probably use it for doors or windows as well, but considering other Aqara parts designed for those specific purposes, they might be better

The sensor is not very sensitive

Contrary to the listing, you do NOT need an Aqara Hub for this product. I connected mine to a Nortek USB HUSBZB-1 USB stick in Home Assistant with zha integration. The sensor detects vibration, but it takes a significant amount of shock to pick up the vibration. Compared to the old Smartthings multi-purpose sensors, they are significantly less sensitive. Depending on your application, this may or may not be desirable. I currently use mine as a tilt sensor to notify my stepson if he hasn't…

Very handy for hubs and controllers

I use this to notify me when my mail has arrived. I keep it in my mailbox with velcro which is waterproof and when I receive mail it detects a vibration when the door is opened and closed. I also set up push notifications and an audible alarm from the M2 hub in my living room. I had an issue with the first one I bought where it would disconnect and wouldn't reconnect until I deleted it, brought it in, and synced it to the hub. I contacted Aqara support and they sent me a new one, no questions…

I use it outside as a mailbox sensor and so far so good

I've tried various HomeKit devices over the last few years and finally decided on the Aqara system. Along with the smart hub, I also bought an Aqara vibration sensor. Adding a vibration sensor to my HomeKit ecosystem literally took less than 30 seconds between the moment I opened the box and the moment the sensor was integrated into the Home app. The vibration sensor is thin and small and I installed it under the mailbox to alert me when the postman brought new mail. The vibration sensor is the

Works fine most of the time.

I integrated the Aqara system into my HomeKit setup because it's the first system to offer inexpensive sensors and work with a Z-wave signal. This type of signal requires a hub but typically offers faster and more stable performance. I bought this sensor specifically to attach to my office chair so my house knows I've started work during the day. The touch trigger turned on the light/fan and turned on a colored light right outside the door that changed color based on my schedule. The system has
