Review on CamelBak 90512 Conversion Hydro Lock by Todd Phillips

Totally terrible product! The instructions say to push and turn the valve to open the gap. That does not work! The only way I see to open the slit is to cut it open with a knife, which I assume will destroy any seal. The next problem is that quick release of the valve is very difficult and will cause the o-ring to come loose. Again, provided it prevents anything from being sealed. Now the most annoying! I cut the old valve off my hose to make this one and left the hose shorter and the excess hose insulation is now bunched up and looking messy and in the way. Not only did I have to do this to install this valve, I had to do it all over again and leave it even shorter with even more excess insulation when I got a new valve. I'll probably just buy a brand new hose with the valves already attached if I can find one. Actually I lied, the most frustrating thing is that from what I can find there is no way to contact the seller to try and find a reasonable solution. The only option is to get a refund or get a replacement. Either option takes me 20 minutes to get to the nearest UPS store and it probably costs another $2-3 per package to ship back.
