CamelBak 90512 Conversion Hydro Lock Review

I bought this mainly because of the check valve on the mouthpiece. It's also nice to be able to remove the mouthpiece and spray water by squeezing the pouch more evenly than through the mouthpiece. I use this to give my dog water or wash things up. My mouthpiece was not cut like some others. I used a razor blade to lightly trim it.

These liquidation bite valves, buyers be careful not to buy them! I bought 1 month ago, there is no gap in it. I tried to carefully cut mine, it didn't work. Well I thought maybe try again, order 2 more because I thought my 1st part was actually a defective part. No, they all seem defective. Now I'm going to return them in the hope that Revain will take them off the market as they are unusable.

Bought to replace the valve on my hydration bladder (not camelback) which was locked and quite uncomfortable. It fits in the phone with no problem. Just measure the line first. Make sure its inside diameter is 1/4 inch and it fits. I like this valve more because the on/off flip is easier to operate with one hand. The large bite valve is also positive. Totally terrible product! The instructions say to push and turn the valve to open the gap. That does not work! The only way I see to open the slit is to cut it open with a knife, which I assume will destroy any seal. If you have a Big Bite style Camelbak this is a must have replacement. Ever since my son started drinking from our water bags, leaks have become too common. With this kit I can turn the water flow on or off without disasters. I.
