Review on ⚽ Soccer Contraption Machine by Brick Loot by Sam Lund

99.36% of the official LEGO sphere diameter and 96.61% of its weight.

Any avid GBC maker will tell you that the essentials are a small football and basketballs. The most important thing about them is how similar they are to the official LEGO balls. We all know that formal things can be expensive, so we look for cheaper alternatives. Some of us use 14mm balls, others use filler from a different ball track system, but we all know that these balls may not work with all modules. Some modules require a certain weight or diameter to function properly, or at least without reconfiguration. The first thing I did when I got them was measure them. Here's my technique: randomly take 4 official LEGO balls from my collection and 4 Brick Loot balls, then use digital calipers set to millimeters (accurate to two decimal places). ) to measure the diameter. They averaged 14.0775mm for the LEGO spheres and 13.9875mm for the Brick Loot spheres (the largest and smallest LEGO spheres were 14.16mm and 14.01mm, respectively, and the largest and smallest Brick Loot Bullets were 14.03mm and 13.96mm respectively). Then, using a digital scale set to grams (to the whole gram, unfortunately), I weighed 40 balls of each brand (I only have 47 official LEGO balls, otherwise I'd weigh more). 40 LEGO balls averaged 59g or 1.475g each and 40 Brick Loot balls averaged 57g or 1.425g each. Here's my conclusion: It's one of the most accurate alternatives to the official ball, averaging 99.36% of its size and 96.61% of its mass. Just based on the numbers, although I wouldn't be sure if I'd use them in a ball launcher that requires the accuracy of the entire hairpin to work (aside from the fact that I wouldn't be sure about sending such a module) , I would *happily* use them in literally every other module. Unfortunately, at the time of writing this article, I didn't have a working module to test them out on, otherwise I'd run them through to see how it works. deeper than the official ones, which contributes to slightly less weight. As the molds are used, these lines gradually wear away and become smaller, allowing later batches to approach the weight of the official balls. This should not affect the function of the ball in any way. Thank you for reading. I hope you find it useful and informative.
