Review on Evtevision 9 Channel 5MP Network Video Recorder - Onvif P2P Remote View, HD Output, No WiFi or Hard Drive by William Bell

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It's hard to beat the functions and features for the price paid.

This device is relatively easy to set up. First of all – YOU MUST PURCHASE THE SURVEILLANCE HARD DRIVE SEPARATELY. I've looked at other products from this company and some of the reviews seem to indicate that it doesn't track. How could he record without a hard drive? The advert even states that the hard disk drive (HDD) is not included. Therefore, by following the diagram in the advertisement, I was able to immediately add ONVIF compatible cameras to the NVR, including an unknown brand camera, a solar powered WiFi device connected to my router from Doenssi (ASIN B0882TJF12). My message is that you should buy with confidence. Be sure to ask questions first as the tech support (although available overnight as it is based in China) is top notch. You also need to know a little bit about the network and contact support for help if you encounter any problems. I did this by understanding the difference between an NVR with and without POE ports. I went with the non-POE option because it was a lot cheaper and I already had power supplies and where no power or wiring was needed I could connect. Internet is required for Cloud ID setup to work with the XMEye app. Access to the VCR. just to be online is not enough. If you want to run everything over the internet, you'll need to use the NVR's IP address to configure XMEye instead. I haven't found any problems with the manufacturer. It is recommended to use a video surveillance hard drive and NOT a regular desktop hard drive. The latter meant frequent tremors and also indicated an early hardware failure since the hard disk wasn't designed for continuous recording. The best of all the features is the H265 encoding. By default, the NVR is set to record continuously with software filtering to determine where there is activity. I'll let everyone know once I know more but for now I'm happy with the price I paid for the features I wanted in an NVR replacement. . and NOT a regular desktop hard drive.
