It's hard to find a quality half-width CD. Why do they cost twice as much as the big ones? Anyway, I got it and I'm happy with it. It pairs perfectly with my Emotiva Stealth DC-1 DAC, resulting in a very high quality, very compact stereo system. Check out the picture - they fit perfectly on the Linn Majik column. (End stages are in the basement). I am using a coax digital cable from the Teac CD player to the DAC and it is nice that the radio function does not require a separate cable but is digitally encoded. Obviously I didn't use any analogue outputs at all and can't judge the quality of the built in DAC. The transport function is good. CDs are read quickly enough, the remote control is ok, has many functions and works at reasonable distances and angles. Not as good as the Emotiva remote which works over a very long distance. I've only played about a dozen CDs, but I've had no problems with read errors or skipping. No regret!
