I have a 20 year old 20 pound terrier who has age related mobility issues. Since he can't climb more than 2-3 steps lately, he couldn't climb to our 2nd floor where our cave is located. As a result, he whimpered and tried to climb, falling back before I could reach him. As I am also an elderly person I have mobility issues and can no longer safely carry him up the stairs in my arms. I saw this sling and decided to try it. I AM SO HAPPY I MADE THE PURCHASE. While it's still a little heavy to carry, the added support of the strap and shoulder strap made it a lot easier to lift and carry. For myself and due to my limitations, I wouldn't be able to carry it long distances, but a smaller (and lighter!) pet in the hands of a healthier person would probably work just fine. Product well made, big size and pockets for all the little things you want to carry. I AM SO PLEASE WITH MY PURCHASE.
