I've had this toy for over a year now. My 3 year old son really liked it when it was new and working properly. I got him because he LOVES cars and likes to pretend to drive. He still tries to play with it often as he likes the beeps and sounds, but the background screen is essentially just a ribbon with an image that scrolls, and after a few months of use the scrolling image started to get stuck and wouldn't work smoothly and eventually stopped moving at all most of the time. This frustrates my son because he knows he has to move when he lifts the shifter or presses the pedal. Great concept but I always feel bad when my son tries to play with him and gets frustrated when he doesn't do what he's supposed to. Otherwise it would be a great toy. I've since also seen it from another seller for only $60. I didn't mind paying $80, but for that price I expected it to last a few years, not a few months.
