Hands down, the best PLA and now my ONLY choice!

I print polymer clay cutters so they need to be very precise (with a tiny step down for the cutting edge) but also strong. This is absolutely the best PLA and Is now my go-to. The price point is great, my prints looks amazing and I never need to troubleshoot like with other brands. It even works on multiple slice settings. I honestly can’t see myself buying any other type from here on out.

Pros
  • Great for intricate and delicate models
Cons
  • Not ideal for creating functional or mechanical parts

Not the Best on my review.

When I first got this filament, it was pretty good. My only problem was that if didn't have great adhesion. The reason why I gave it a bad rating is that It was left out for a few days and it sucked up so much moisture that it is practically worthless. It still prints but there is a lot of bubbles, but you could probably dry it. Keep in mind it was left in a container with dry packets. 4/10 can't recommend.

Pros
  • Easy to print with
Cons
  • Can be difficult to print with fine detail or small parts

I bought a black and a red. Both spools arrived wrapped very well, compared to some other reviews where others had problems. With the black, I had some weird under-extrusion issues where the extruder would "chunk"-slip and minor telltale signs of under-extrusion on the end-result. Would swap for other colors and they would not have this problem.Printed a temp tower, found out that it (Black) really likes to be printed at 220. Next print, set it at 220, no more slipping on the extruder.Once I…

Pros
  • Thoroughly tested to ensure quality
Cons
  • Not ideal for creating highly detailed or intricate designs

Congrow filament dryer.

Installed 2 rolls of new filament, one pla and other Tpu. Run at recommended temp. 50c 120F and ran it for 12 hours! Can't get humidity level below 30%! I did the air out process as well throughout the 12 houre drying time which involves opening the dryer a few mm's for it to vent which did drop my humidity levels down to around 18 to 20% but as soon as I close dryer the humidity level jumps back into the 30 to 38% ! Printer a d dryer are in my finished basement with average household humidity…

Pros
  • Adhesion was great! I printed a groot and a dust collector hose adapter.I used an Creality Ender-3 V2
Cons
  • May produce inconsistent print quality if not stored properly

Brittle and weak filament

The spool that I got seems to have been exposed to moisture as it was very brittle. After printing for about 2 days, the filament has broken at the extruder 3 times (I have an ender 3). This meant that I had to detach the bowden tube every time and pull out the broken filament, wasting 1/3 me

Pros
  • 3D Printing Filament
Cons
  • Cannot withstand high loads or stresses

Comgrow vs RevainBasics

Before getting to the Comgrow filament review, I would like to point out that while filament quality do affect the quality of your prints, filament quality can only be assessed if the following has been done:1) Your printer has been properly assembled (i.e., all parts aligned, leveled, no hardware issues, etc.) and2) Your slicer settings are optimized for the filament you are usingI believe that if the 2 criteria listed above are achieved, most filaments will yield adequate print results…

Pros
  • Offers excellent adhesion to build plates
Cons
  • Limited shelf life compared to other filament options

A good start - my new review

I bought this as my first roll with a brand new Ender 3, and apart from some stringing issues it is great, no structural issues, and great adhesion.

Pros
  • Wide Compatibility: Works and Compatibleperfectly with all common 1.75mm FDM 3D printers.
Cons
  • May not adhere well to some build surfaces

Bought this for the Ender 3

Not much to say other than this PLA appears to be of good quality and works with my intended printer. Thanks! Thanks for attention!

Pros
  • Low odour and eco-friendly
Cons
  • Susceptible to fading and color distortion over time

Fine for PLA. Not hot enough to properly dry PETG.

The max temp this dryer can achieve is 50C and you need 65C to properly dry PETG. Works just fine with PLA, but even running it for 18 hours with a spool of PETG, it still sounds like a bowl of Rice Krispies when printing. Good value for the price if you mostly print with PLA.

Pros
  • Excellent dimensional accuracy
Cons
  • Limited availability in some regions or markets

This is a really Good filament

At first it felt weird and i had to recalibrate my printer, but wow. this is a good filament. I can't wait to get more. maybe a different color though

Pros
  • Creates strong and durable models
Cons
  • May produce stringing or oozing during printing process
