My 55-inch computer monitor weighs a little under seven Jupiter masses, is about three parsecs wide, and most of my desk fell under the gravity that the manufacturer says "desk" I had three options: enjoy working at a desk the size of a couple of stamps anytime, build another supporting wall in my office to hang the monitor on the wall, or buy a stand to hold the monitor Monitor raise working height, but sit on the floor. I decided to take the last option. And after much research I chose this stand for three reasons: 1. It extends high enough to mount my monitor while keeping the bottom edge of the monitor over 43 inches. at least 2. The stand was basic, with no shelves or other fixtures to get in the way, and 3. The cost was reasonable, if not shockingly cheap. nothing "cheap" or flimsy about this stand. Two spaceships mistook it for a space dock. Okay, I tried to make boring office furniture interesting; and it isn't. But it works. It holds my monitor without damaging the wall or wasting desk space. I am very satisfied with the result. I've assembled several of these monitor mounts and it turned out to be no more difficult than the simplest thing I did.
