I have owned one of these pitchers for several years and have used it every day ever since. Still in "like new" condition and now I'm back to buy a second one. I decided I wanted a jug of filtered water in the fridge and a second jug of room temperature water on the counter. I looked at several reviews that inspired me to write one. I've read that a lot of people get drips when pouring. Not me. This pitcher has the perfect pour every time with no drips. I'm 65 with small hands and I find this pitcher comfortable to grip and the balance is perfect for easy pick up and pour. Lid. This is an unusual design, but also ingenious and perfect. Once you get the hang of it, it's definitely a nice, snug, airtight fit. I usually leave the cap loose as a dust cover and don't have to tighten it. But when I need to pour a pitcher of water in the picnic fridge, the lid closes very securely to prevent spills. But you have to use both hands. One hand holds the outer rim of the lid while the other hand twists the inner "ding" to expand the gasket that seals the lid. The only time this pitcher isn't used in my home is when it's in the dishwasher, sometimes overnight. This is a wonderful glass jar.
