The plastic trays have small tabs that fit into the trays from the top and bottom to keep everything aligned. When I opened the box, a tab was missing in one compartment. I emailed the company and they asked me to take a picture of it and email it to them and then they immediately sent me another tray. Incredibly, this tray also had a broken tongue. They were so cute, they didn't even need a photo this time, they just sent me another tray. All this took about a week. After finally getting my countertops, I fell in love with this little machine. (Honestly I've used it with 4 other trays while waiting for a full one.) It's not a huge dehydrator but it's perfect for my home garden. I have dried tomatoes, pears, apples, peppers, onions and beans for peeling. Everything came out perfect. I have big plans for next year. And I am grateful to the seller for resolving so quickly a situation that could have been less than satisfactory.
