We recently adopted a Bernese Mountain Dog puppy. As you can imagine, she is full of curiosity and wants to go EVERYWHERE in our area and explore EVERYTHING! This includes getting back to our landscaping, digging or laying in the dirt, and eating bark and mulch. By pressing that long hook on her collar and then just letting go and exploring her, we can see where she's going and, if necessary, prevent her from getting into something she shouldn't be. Though she knows it slows her down a bit, she's become friends with him and tends to take the other end and wear him around like smart pants. The rope is well made and has twist locks at both ends. The bright orange color is easy to spot, and although it's been through a lot of patches of mud and grass, it's holding up. I RECOMMEND this product to anyone who has new puppies.
