I wanted this for my bedroom as a place to sit and put my shoes on and off. That is absolutely sufficient. It's not as strong and durable as I expected from IKEA, but it looks good and will do the job. The finish matches my other espresso furniture purchased from other sources. If you're an IKEA furniture assembly ninja like me, you can put it together in about 30-40 minutes. My only REAL complaint or concern is that the cam locks used on this product are not secure at all and some have felt that they are not even fully locked. As others have said I doubt it will last 10 years and I would be surprised if it survived the move to a new home. Size, appearance and workmanship are exactly what I had in mind. For the price with free shipping this was a great buy!
