Gates timing belt set almost burst my Lexus

My son has been a car mechanic for 40 years, has installed a timing belt set on his Lexus, the water pump seal went out after a month, the engine almost burst. My son didn't believe the new Gates! The water pump failed so he just replaced the gaskets and seals but it's still leaking! Disassembled for the third time, AC Delco fitted, water pump, everything is perfect now! So I disagree with the cost of 2 water pumps and my son's labor!
