Review on Upgrade Your Mazda Vehicle with the Metra 99-7505 Single/Double DIN Installation Multi-Kit - Black (1994-2006 Models) by Terrance Singletary

Purchased to fit a Pioneer double din receiver in my 1999 Mazda Protege. The fit wasn't precise but still snug enough to be satisfied. Having to cut the latch out of the double DIN bezel ourselves is a bit annoying, but I got it clean with a wet razor blade. The mounting system itself is a bit flimsy and I couldn't support the back of my main unit because it didn't really have room to screw on the black thing they provided. I did however use a couple of groin screws in the side brackets to secure the deck should it slip out and support the floor with a folded rag. After some patience I finally finished installing the deck and it seems quite reliable. Metal rather than plastic would probably work better, but that's really all you've got, so go ahead and buy it.
