Durable Small Needles

I really like these needles. They are lightweight and durable. The surface on them is also perfectly smooth. Not too slippery like metal and not as grippy as bamboo. I tried them because my #0 bamboo needles are bent from use and I'm afraid they will break even if I knit loosely. There is nothing to fear from them!

They are great for knitting and crocheting

I love these needles. After cutting the wood I bought these and they make it a lot easier to keep the yarn from splitting due to the metal ends. Also, they don't break like wood. I use them all the time for knitting socks and other things in circles. Even though they sent me the wrong size I still love this style of needle.

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Tradeable

My favorite knitted DPNs

Nice and heavy in the hand. The tips are the same as any other nickel needle, but the center isn't as slippery so I'm not worried about the DPNs slipping out of the stitches. I can knit faster than bamboo. Pus they don't split and it seems they will last forever. I'm gradually replacing all my DPNs with these. So worth the money.

Pros
  • Nice item
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

The best sock needles in the world

I teach knitting and already have a set of these. I bought these for a student so she would enjoy knitting socks as much as I do. The stitches move when you want them to and won't slip off the needles when you don't want them to. What a joy to use! I wish they came in a larger size (bigger). It's fun to use good tools over and over again and worth the investment for any sock knitter.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast

Didn't work for me

I wanted to use them for spiral knit socks. I figured it would be easier to track color changes, I used colons. This and the yarn used was thinner than my regular sock yarn so I took it out to try. I wouldn't tell you I was a tight knitter before. I started the project on Monday, this Tuesday evening, and on two I've already broken off the tip. I found booklets of a similar size that I just bought as replacements. These DPNs were a disaster for me. They have greatly reinforced my fondness for…

Ideal for difficult, tight knitters

I knit stiff and tight so my wooden needles have warped or broken. I love them because they feel comfortable in the hand and don't slide in your hand or against each other as much as shiny, smooth silver needles. I'm usually much more into wood, but I really liked them and bought several sets. My only complaint is that the size markings on the side of the needle rub off fairly easily, so I have to measure the small ones to make sure they match. Big Scream. You're doing this with wooden pins…

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
