In many cases you can check the pad thickness without removing the tyres. It depends on the design of the rim and the brake calipers. In some cases you can check the thickness of the liner through a hole in the rim. Of course, this only works with very large drives, e.g. B. in a truck. In other cases, you can check the lining thickness from the inside. Of course, that helps if the car is already on the lift. However, if you don't need to remove the tires, this can save you a few minutes. The only thing that confuses me is that the sensors are plastic. I'm not sure if they will last 5 or 10 years.
