This LED unit is lightweight and easy to install BUT note that it is intended to replace the incandescent or fluorescent tubes of the original fixture. Some do-it-yourselfers may find it difficult to remove bulbs and sockets, and if they are fluorescent, remove ballasts and terminals. To prepare an old light fixture for LED replacement it may be necessary to remove the entire light fixture - a drill may be required to remove rivets or other fasteners. Remember that you need the original diffuser (usually milky white glass or plastic). Bare LEDs need to be softened as the glare will be strong.
