Overall a good exhaust fan, solid construction and powerful dual fan and blade motors. The hood does let in a lot of air, and given the significantly increased air movement, it's relatively quiet compared to a standard unit. The block was packed very well. Here are some purchasing considerations: 1. If you must use the rear exhaust option, note that the adapter will require a few inches to make the transition from the longer, narrower rectangle to the standard size rectangular. In my setup I couldn't use an adapter and instead had to replace the wall vent with a flap and just plug the hood directly into the wall mount.2. Stainless steel is the 400 series, which is a lower quality than the 300 series. This only becomes important when trying to match the range hood to a high-end non-magnetic stainless steel range cooker, the 300 series has a bluish tint and the 300 series - yellowish tint.3. Tats are longer than the average home device, around 4-5 inches. For me this was an advantage as it closes the oven better.4. The unit I received was manufactured in July 2017 but with halogen headlights. I switched them to LEDs but I flicker a bit on low settings but fine on high settings. The device appeared to be advertised with LED lights.5. There is a large sticky label on the side of the vent that needs to be removed with a lot of force. I can't imagine why they decided to glue it there with super aggressive glue, but they did. Time for a knock off. For the money I think this is a good device, it seems well made and reliable and I'm happy with it.
