What a great tripod!
After carefully researching which tripod to buy, we bought this one. We managed to make videos with our iPad. We can't comment on how well it can work with heavier video devices, but it works great with our iPad. We can have great smooth movement in all directions (up-down and left-right). This worked great for our goal of making short movies with our iPad without it jerking in motion. We recommend it.
