This is a Shiatsu style massager. In case you are unfamiliar, this is an intense pressure massage. It's neither gentle nor relaxing if you don't like this type of massage. But the feeling is fantastic when you have a backache or when you enjoy an intense massage. I personally like the massage to be intense only on specific points in the lower back when I have back pain. And I can't force him to just stay in this place. You can choose between the top, the bottom or the very back. There's also an automatic setting that does what it wants, and in some cases that means the right side does something different than the left side. But you can't force it to stay in one place. It just runs down your spine, it doesn't come out at all. I did it with the whole back. The heat is in the seat section, I don't feel it on my back. And the vibration is only in the seat, too - there are three settings, or vibration patterns, or you can turn it off. You can't just use heat, not massage. But you can only use massage, not heat. The remote control is connected to the seat with a sufficiently long cable. The seat must remain plugged in during use, there is no battery. And the cable is not very long. I had to get an extension cord. Overall it's ok for me, but it delivers what it promises as a shiatsu massager, which is why I give it 4 stars. It's too intense for me. This will appeal to a person with a small build who likes a high pressure massage.
