Review on 🌑 Diameter of Ajax Scientific Aneroid Barometer by Michael Hogate

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Exactly what I was looking for.

Wow, my barometer arrived quickly, sooner than I thought. The packaging is good, as is the condition of the item. To calibrate my barometer, I first checked the current air pressure in my area using the online weather service. I then rotated the dial on the back of the device and adjusted the gauge to match the reported barometric pressure for my location - which is now 29.9 - as the barometric pressure changes, the dial moves on its own. Then I place a seconds hand on top of the barometer, just above the gauge pointer, so I can easily see changes in barometric pressure since the two hands are no longer coincident. I wanted the barometer to confirm that joint pain fluctuates with changes in barometric pressure, which is the case with osteoarthritis. If there is no correlation, I need to reevaluate my pain. This barometer is very well suited for this. This device can be inserted into a 7.2 centimeter diameter hole - like maybe one of those old crystal clocks with the clockwork no longer working - although it's probably intended to replace a broken one in one of those clocks. A whimsical weather station hangs on the wall. But I like it in this form, it takes up little space, very convenient.

Pros
  • Comes with a soft plastic adjustment ring for tight friction in a 55mm hole
Cons
  • Slightly torn
