I ordered at the last moment for my husband's wake. I was very happy and touched when the book arrived. It was very elegant and the material and binding seemed to be of very high quality. The pages are colored off-white or "light ocher" and convey a sense of timelessness. There is a scripture at the bottom of each page, which was a great comfort to me as I included photos of my husband on every other page for guests to ponder. I think the scriptures also helped people when they left a note in a book, as many people didn't know what to say in a moment of grief. Before you buy, check the dimensions - these are about 1/2 the size of a regular photo album. Ideal as a souvenir or in a shoe box. There are still many pages left and I think I can use them for notes, like in a diary.
