Review on 💾 Revolutionize Legacy Data Storage with Gotek SFR1M44-U100: USB SSD Floppy Drive Emulator by Adam Townsend

I had to upgrade expensive test equipment that still used a floppy drive for I/O. I decided to try Gotek's floppy disk emulator and it installed like a normal floppy disk drive. The machine's BIOS "thinks" it is a floppy drive and writes to it as if it were one. This device can create multiple partitions of 1.44MB each, but I only use one partition and it works great for getting data into my report layouts in QuarkXpress. .The writing speed is the same as on a floppy disk, but of course uploading to a PC is much faster than to a floppy disk. Aesthetically, this gives my review unit an updated look, and even the bezel color matches the front bezel color well. to plan.
