Strong colors at a good price for my everyday watercolor party. The discs can be split, allowing for easy color changes at the table. It is noteworthy that there is no purple color in this set. Instead, it has many natural colors, making it good for painting landscapes and the like. I'll probably save the larger 6 layer version to add to my next party as it's significantly better than the crayola type baby watercolors I have. (the difference for beginners like me is that the amount of water in the pigment can change the resulting color, while children's watercolors have reached a certain saturation and could not go deeper)
