Protects all my media. It loaded my videos and photos fairly quickly and it's great to be able to share them if I want or if a family member or friend wants a copy. You never know when your computer or phone will crash, as I've learned the hard way. Now I have them on this device. Also, you never know when a free cloud service will decide they're going to start charging you. I once had 6GB of media, videos and photos on Flickr. After a few years, they decided that they would now charge for anything stored over 1 gigabyte. This means your oldest saved images/videos will be automatically deleted unless you pay for their new plan or delete the 5GB images. I spent several hours downloading my 5GB photos back onto my computer because I wanted to keep the oldest photos more than the newer photos. Another thing was I had videos there that I had no idea the only way to share was via a blinking link. You cannot download them back to your device like your photos. learned from that. Google is the most convenient cloud service right now and they give you 15GB for free and that should be lifetime but all I see is there is 15GB of data in there and then one day they may say we're all over 1GB now to calculate . This will take forever, so it's a great way to back up everything on your computer if needed.
