I think I should have looked more closely at this product as I assumed the wicks were already threaded. I wouldn't have bought them if I knew I had to work so hard to get the thick, frayed ends of the wicks into the tiny opening of the cork. What a great pain in A. It would be easier for me to stick a ripe tomato in the end of a garden hose. I ended up pulling three threads, wrapping the thread around the end of the wick until tight, and pulling it through the hole. Pleased with my ingenuity, can you imagine my disappointment when the flame burned out for less than 5 minutes and died out because the wick burned out flush with the cork, so now I HAVE NO WAY TO EXTEND MORE WICK. (By the way, I tried to poke through the wick with every thin object I could find, both before and after firing, and I just about managed to push the wick through and wear it out instead of pushing it up. ) Also annoying was the fact that the wicks are much shorter than a bottle of wine.
