Review on 🔥 GE JP3030DJBB 30 Inch Smoothtop Electric Cooktop: Powerful 4 Radiant Elements, Knob Controls, Keep Warm Melt Setting, Black by Danny Porter

Replaces the previous GE Smoothtop cooktop after 23 years of trouble free service. (It broke and it would have been more expensive to fix than replace.) I ordered this one and it arrived in two days. Although I was nervous, I managed to install it myself. It looks good and works well. If I had never had the predecessor, I would find the new one perfect. BUT with the previous one I have two minor complaints. First, the new one takes longer to heat up than the old one. Whether you're cooking an omelette over medium-high heat or trying to bring a large pot of water to a boil, it seems like it takes longer. (I don't have documented measurements, just my subjective experience.) My second minor complaint is that that glossy black finish is difficult to keep clean. The previous one was mottled gray and did a good job of masking surface splatters and streaks. This shows every drop of oil, water, etc., so it needs to be cleaned much more often. However, it's a great price tag.
