Cool stuff! I haven't used them for a while and seriously regretted it when a drop fell into my boot and rolled down the tongue of my boot to the bottom of my sock which then fused to my foot. wake up call! I wear them every time I wear them now ;) They're a bit weird to wear and I ended up doing some weird things to the straps to make them work for me. Unless you have boots with raised arches, you cannot use them without damaging the bottom side strap. The strap going under the bow is also weird in general. I did something weird again to make it work for me. I wear a size 10.5W so I can't imagine a change due to shoe size, but misunderstood functionality on the part of the operator is certainly a possibility.
