Not working - DVI to HDMI adapter

I even tried downloading the sketchy looking app they refer to in the instructions to update the firmware as stated and it did not work. Will return. I think I was fooled by the "Apple MFi Certified" label, whatever that means. It's a cheap fake that doesn't work. Don't waste your time and money on this.
