I needed a stool for my dressing table after my cubic stool finally broke after sitting on it with a damp towel too many times while doing my makeup. I wanted something that would hold up better and look more like a 30 year old rather than the left overs from college or high school. Finally, after some digging, I found this little beauty. The assembly wasn't too difficult. I'm disabled and can't use my hands fully and was still able to assemble it without help. There was one slightly tricky angle the allen wrench didn't like, but it took me just under 15 years to put my feet up. A person without my disability could easily have done this under 10 on their own. The height is perfect for my dressing table or just to sit on my bed or chair with my feet up. So far it has been easy to clean and has not attracted golden retriever fur; That's a huge bonus (and I was so worried about velvet at first that I almost didn't buy it). Since their fur usually clings to any fabric surface like molasses, I was very excited that what had been in the padding had repelled it so far. Haven't used the storage yet as I didn't buy one for storage but I could see how I could easily store some basic stationery in it. Unless it's a small litter, I don't think it would be good for laundry storage.
