Review on Enhance Your Audio Experience with Xlii 90 High Bias Audio Cassette Tape -5-Pack by Byron Forman

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Seems ok but not as pictured

Haven't tested the ribbons but don't expect any problems. All five bands are individually sealed and appear to be legal, with "Mexico Assembled" written on the packaging. The seller was "Morgans_Merchandise". The package was not a Maxell factory 5 pack as shown in the picture but 5 new sealed tapes repackaged in clear plastic by the seller. Four fit below in the image showing the fronts and one matched the above. believe it was a time when these Maxell XLII tapes weren't the same quality as they were in the 80's/early 90's as Maxell only stamped them in a factory in Mexico not Canada or Japan but others disagree to. I don't know when I will use them as it is difficult to get chrome bands at the moment I only use them for special purpose. If I use them I may update this review, but I have no concerns that the bands themselves are a problem. I just wanted people to know that it wasn't quite what I expected.

Pros
  • Excellent medium performance ribbon
Cons
  • Out of style
