This unit is perfect for the "cheap Chinese" Harbor Freight Tool Generator. A generator bought at a flea market pulls its weight. I have used it several times and have been happy with it. But one very cold day when I needed it, I opened the gas valve and the metal handle of the valve burst. I repaired it using American parts and the generator continues to work even though the repair should have been a combination of parts. I stumbled across these replacement parts, saw their potential and bought them. He fit perfectly! Until I attached a wrench to it to properly tighten the gas valve on the gas tank. The soft metal of the valve body could not withstand the force. The valve is pushed through the retaining ring and brass nut. Of course, there is no way to fix this. I reinstalled my rigged replacement system and just don't know what to say other than disappointment.
