The lighting on the kitchen counter in my van was enough to drive me crazy! Under the microphone used to be a good hood. I only used it as a night light. I rarely used a range hood as most of the time I cook in the micro grill or one of the grills outside. But I try to cook. I would have to get out a work light or a small studio light or a small magnet light. I researched a lot of lights on Revain and decided to use these lights because 1 is brightness. 2- Deepened. 3 super value! 4- They turn in their body. Although they won't work with a dimmer, I have other lights that I use for decorative lighting. Photos don't convey everything but you get the idea. From left to right, the only lit light is above the sink, invisible to the right. The camera drew more light and I didn't want to mess with the white balance, but as you can see in photo 2, the lights on illuminate the entire kitchen and central area of the salon! That's great! Pic 3 I turned off all the other lights and you can see they are still lit. On fig. Figure 4 shows a recessed light with a 12V microswitch. I used a standard switch faceplate and widened the hole about 1/8" to accommodate the rocker switch. When I put the exhaust fan where the cardboard is, I add another toggle switch and the correct faceplate. But like that anyway I can't say enough about these lights! I'm very pleased and have yet to fit 3 lights elsewhere. Time will tell how long they last. Will update you on the need. Hope this helps. -Mike
