Very quiet, very heavy, very comfortable

I'll get back to you with a long-term report on durability and puncture resistance, but first. I have been riding the Panaracer T-Serv for many years because they are supposed to be very puncture-proof, light and fast. However, I was having issues with collapsing sidewalls, so it was time to try something new. The T-Serv's thin and flexible sidewalls were a major benefit, as they meant little resistance to absorbing road bumps for flight. Unfortunately, making it super thin would compromise durability. I came to them because they are supposed to have very low rolling resistance and be durable, but my goodness, they are definitely "heavy duty". I'm carrying over 1.3 pounds of extra rubber and they're *difficult* to mount, but they're nowhere near the strongest tires I've mounted. They have an odd elliptical profile, meaning the contact patch is narrower than you'd expect for their size. (37mm, published 38mm not far away). I don't know if that's a good or bad thing, but it seems like a bit of a contradiction as to why I bought the wide tires. They're fairly quiet, which the T-Serv wasn't, but the feel over bumps is more rubbery. Impact and less inflatable ball. However, the first impression is good.
