I have a cat that often flies coast to coast with me in the cabin. I bought this "hut" because it offers a lot more mesh and ventilation than the others, but is more like a teepee than a kennel. In the picture it looks a bit square, in reality it tapers towards the top and becomes very narrow. like teepee. The bottom width is 8 inches and then narrows to just 4 inches wide at the top. My cat is only 9 pounds but I don't see enough space for him to curl up in. I also think it will collapse and crush if placed under my airplane seat. I will not attempt to use it on an airplane but will save for minimal car trip to vet etc.
