Great little camera. There are still things I'm dreaming up, but after a full 24 hours of work, I like it. I originally bought it to keep a close eye on my mailbox after someone knocked it off its stand, but I learned of the $55 camera's limitations. My mailbox is just too far away, during the day the camera detects people walking down the street at maximum sensitivity. But at night, even at maximum motion sensitivity on the street, walking on the street doesn't trigger the MD, unlike all the bugs that come to check the infrared lights. I installed it on the ceiling and had some trouble with the installation as the 3/4" hole saw as recommended in the installation guide didn't make the hole big enough. You can get the top of the waterproof cap through the hole , but then it gets stuck in the part that holds the ethernet cable. I went to the connector with a Stanley knife and cut off enough plastic to make the connector fit. I would recommend going a size up and a 7/8" hole saw, which I will do when I install another one of these. I've now changed the recording to do a motion sensor during the day and a normal recording at night. I'm still not sure will i catch someone knocking over my mailbox i think i really need to switch to a zoom model for that but cant fault the camera i think the windows client app works fine once you get the hang of it It can be a little confusing that there are settings directly for the camera if an SD card is inserted, and then settings for the Windows client app. I haven't done any writes to the SD card, so I can't comment on that. The iPhone app works great, easy setup and when I connected the camera to the POE switch for the first time the app recognized it straight away. All in all a great camera for what it is.
