This printer was a lifesaver! I can print multiple shipping labels at once very quickly and they are automatically cut between them. I also use the smaller 2.4 inch label for product labels. The reason I hated printing labels with my laser printer was that the ink would smudge and I would have to tape the label to protect the barcodes, defeating the purpose of printing the label in the first place. I used up so much packing tape (and time!). Of course Brother's labels are expensive, just buy the regular ones! All you have to do is find devices compatible with this device (I bought the BETCKEY brand and I don't see any difference). I bought TEN rolls of 4" wide continuous rolls of 4x6" shipping labels and after 3 months of printing MANY labels I still have some left on the first roll! Buying 10 rolls at a time cut the price of each roll in half, so I figured I might resell some if I didn't sell them quickly. I also don't understand why other customers had printing problems. I first downloaded the driver directly from the Brother website. On eBay and Etsy I print 4x6 labels in PDF format. After purchasing the labels, opening the PDF or downloading the PDF, I plug the USB cable into my laptop, press print and make sure to select the correct printer and label size (with the Brother label samples that came with it, I had to select something like 4.06" wide, whatever it was it was slightly larger than 4x6 because it wasn't printed with 4x6 selected. It said the size of the labels in the printer and what was selected wasn't When I switched to Universal it wouldn't print with the same setting and I've found I just need to go back to 4 x 6. If you get a message saying the size doesn't match, choose other similar sizes until it fits.) I even made my own labels using Microsoft Word for 2.4" wide labels. I just set the size in page setup, plug and print. Super easy. The Print is dark, super sharp, great quality. And no smudging! You don't need to buy ink or toner. Sometimes the blade doesn't cut all the way through, but that's the only problem I've had. This little printer was definitely worth the money. I save so much time by buying labels in bulk, pressing prints once, getting each print and cutting SUPER fast, and just peeling them off and sticking them on the envelope. If you do a decent amount of online sales and spend a lot of time fulfilling orders, I recommend getting this printer. You will thank me! Update: About a year later and this printer is still working with no issues!
