Love Hate Relationships

So I bought this burner to use in the kitchen and in my electronics projects when using heat shrink tubing. And I developed a love-hate relationship with that torch. So it's a solid metal lantern that lights up easily and has two ways to regulate the flame, one with the knob on the bottom and the other with the lever under the ignition switch. What I didn't understand was how to turn on the burner without holding the ignition switch. This is accomplished by setting the flame just below the ignition switch, pushing all the way to the left until you meet a little resistance, and then just past the resistance you're set for. Now about where the hate begins. 1. The tank of this big distiller is quite small. So if you do a lot in the kitchen, be prepared to refill it several times. While most burners only heat up towards the end of the crème brûlée, with the entire stem above the handle getting quite hot, I noticed this when pocketing the burner on a quick walk around the kitchen and having to take it out of my pocket . More quickly. The moral of the story is be careful, it's going to be hot. Besides, it's a good device. It reminds us of the lightsaber from our favorite sci-fi movies. :->
