Overview of NC Zipline Kit

We reviewed many zipline kits in 6 months and after reading reviews and prices we decided on this kit. It came up easily and like most it took a bit of "check then adjust" to finally tighten and set properly. As with all ziplines, you need to understand some basic physics to get the right angle and final speed so the riders don't get hurt. What drew me to the kit were the components. I wanted the wiring harness, seat, brake and all hardware, plus a factory jack on one end of the cable. Find the parts in the kit you need that will make your installation easier. This gives you everything you need for installation and driver safety. The included seat belts caught my attention as I wouldn't let my kids ride without them. Most kits do not have seat belts or only offer one style of harness. This is a harness that can be worn on commercial zip lines and fits all members of my family from me to my 8 year old daughter. My son actually slipped off the seat last week and got caught in the harness so you can definitely see the need if you have an elevated zip line! Our zip line is approximately 11 feet off the ground on platform one and just under 8 feet on platform two. Landing while riding on a natural 4% incline the whole time. The spring drag works, but if you don't set the corners properly, it can still end up being a nudge. Overall this kit is great for its price. Home installers only need to do some basic research on proper installation before blaming the kit, as there's nothing wrong with that. My 10 and 8 year olds love the finished product and my wife and I ride it too. I weigh 160 pounds and have no sagging issues. Note, however, that sag of any length happens and is expected to happen to all riders. Finally, this is not a commercial product, so don't expect it to look like what you see at zip line parks. Our total run is just under 90 feet. When I ordered I was concerned I would end up with a short wire, but to my surprise the wire fit well and I had about 5ft of slack once it was properly tensioned. I'm pretty good with home tools and I found a few tricks with the $10 Harbor Freight to get the cord tight. No need to buy anything fancy when a little creativity will do the job. We recommend this zipline kit!
