Review on 🍾 OXO SteeL Winged Corkscrew - Effortless Wine Bottle Opening at its Finest by Daron Ellis

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Looks good but fragile corkscrew connection

Nice to look at and feel great but now I've had two exactly the same failures even with very careful handling. The corkscrew is attached with a metal pin, which is simply cut off by the force of the cork pull. The first OXO butterfly corkscrew lasted several years in a house where wine is only served on special occasions, but broke, leaving the corkscrew half in the bottle in the cork. Since it was an accidental failure, we replaced the opener with an identical steel model that lasted less than a year (probably less than a dozen bottles) and failed the same way. I can only recommend it as a work of art.

Pros
  • Wing corkscrew
Cons
