Review on Energy Suspension 2 5106R Stabilizer Cherokee by Chris Quinto

Polyurethane Bushings

My stabilizer bar had a lot of play (a 20 year old Jeep XJ). Decided to buy them to strengthen the front suspension. For this they did an excellent job, very satisfied considering the cost. The two main bushings on my stabilizer bar were badly worn. The anti-roll bar is available in different sizes depending on the year of the vehicle (and the options chosen), making ordering the correct kit difficult. My XJ has two different sizes - front (1 inch) and rear (5/8). This kit includes everything you need for a stabilizer bar and both end links. Just one hand was enough to rock the old setup. Now it is tight with no play. As an added bonus, there's also no noise, no rattling from the front. The kit does not include grease for the main bushings. Will have to (easily) remove the bracket later to manually lubricate it if necessary until it squeaks (still early). Some have complained about the creaking of the polyurethane bushings (fingers crossed). With these stiffer bushings, the stabilizer bar does what it was designed to do and even better than the original! This kit could have had more matching parts and more detailed instructions. But if you take your time, it's a simple task that will drastically change how you handle it. The split bushings for the single stud end link were a very nice touch that made it easy to install new bushings. But I had to bend one of the large brackets to fit flush and the washers didn't fit the end link at all (reused the old ones with no problems). So expect some troubles, but the end result will make you smile every time you take it on. Be sure to measure the diameter of the stabilizer bar, and sometimes the size is stamped on the old bushing. Highly recommended.
