Very happy with this magnetic mount. It's a bit big but it's what I needed. The magnets stick to the top of the truck body very well (it takes about 45 pounds of force to start lifting from one end). The magnets are also covered with a rubber protective sleeve to keep scratches to a minimum. I removed the base of the antenna leaving a 1/2" X 1/2" square hole and installed a safety flag. The base on which the magnets are mounted is machined from 7/32" thick steel and is beautifully chrome plated, as are the magnet cups. This base is better quality and cheaper than other magnetic safety warning flag bases sold here at Revain.
