Pleasantly surprised with this purchase. I wanted pickleball shorts and saw them for a good price so I took a chance. I ordered one just in case. I'm 5ft 8", 215 (husky, not fat 😄). My pant size varies by brand but mostly 36 and sometimes 38. I bought these XL shorts and they are very comfortable. They're tight, but not tight. They also stretch a bit, which adds to the comfort. The pockets are deep enough to hold a pickled cucumber and the zips provide security should you have keys or something you don't want to lose. There are no flies, so if you need to empty your old bladder, you need to take it off. The 7" inseam is perfect for me. Slightly above the knees. Looks like quality material and workmanship. The packaging is worth 5 stars in my opinion. I'll definitely be buying more in other colors.
