Otherwise I would never use this product. First, I'm not sure calling it clay would be an accurate description. The gloss is not matte at all. Also, it feels quite greasy and it takes two or three washes with heavy soap to remove all of the product from hands after application. Besides, it works properly. It doesn't build up as thick as some of the other products I've used and it's really pita to get the entire product off your hands after use, but I think it's worth the splurge , if you value not applying any or toxic substances. Ingredients in your hair (according to EWG website). I can get lipstick for half the price at my local beauty store and it's a lot easier to use if I'm not concerned about the safety of the ingredients.
