Otherwise I would never use this product. First, I'm not sure calling it clay would be an accurate description. The gloss is not matte at all. I have straight black Asian hair, usually around 4-6 inches long. I love that this tone leaves a matte, unfixed finish. It's not difficult and lasts until the end of the day. I've been using Sebastian's Matte Putty for many years but found out it wasn't available from Revain at the moment so I took a chance using this clay. Not a fan.
