Review on πŸ“· Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 12-24mm f/4G IF-ED Zoom Lens: Enhanced Auto Focus for Nikon DSLR Cameras by Brenda Mitchell

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Not just a good lens; game changer!

The only lens I didn't have in my camera bag was a good wide angle lens. It's not just a 'good' wide angle; It is nothing short of a groundbreaking lens, simply superior in sharpness, color reproduction, contrast and distortion control. Buy it! You'll just wonder how you've managed so long without one. As a semi-professional landscape and wildlife photographer, I will be using this lens most of the time on my camera (Nikon D7100). It replaces the camera's included 18-55mm lens for me, which doesn't offer a true wide-angle or telephoto lens. It has a solid construction, yet is a relatively lightweight lens that's easy to carry around all day without fatigue. It fits the Nikon DX perfectly and fits my camera perfectly. After just one day of shooting at my favorite nearby lake, I was blown away by the results. On day one I created images that I know will be sold at the gallery where I exhibit my work. And the images were so perfectly exposed that they hardly needed any post-processing. I just couldn't be happier with this lens. However, I know it's expensive new (worth it) and on a tight budget I took a chance and bought it used through Revain at half price. It came to me exactly as advertised; in perfect condition, like new, with good filter, lens hood and soft case for the lens. it also arrived much earlier than expected, it only took four days to arrive. This is the first time I've thought about something, but I just had to weigh it. I couldn't be happier.
