Review on πŸ’Ž Professional Jeweler Diamond Tester: Accurate and Easy-to-Use Solution for Novices and Experts by Sasha Hsiao

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great tool for finding diamonds

TIPS BEFORE PURCHASING: This tester only needs a 9V battery, but it is not included. So make sure you have a diamond ready, especially if you want to buy one and test the diamond once the tester arrives. I spent $5 on a single battery through Revain only to find I had it in my desk drawer the whole time. I also noticed that "Dollar Tree" sells 9 volts for $1 each. (I make these silly mistakes so you don't have to, ladies and gents.) Also, make sure you remove the rubber stopper before testing. This may seem silly to many, but not to me. My mother tried testing diamonds with the stopper and there were false positives on stones that I knew were fake, but once the rubber stopper was removed the readings were accurate. Find out what size the stone should be. If you have the same problem, evaluate and adapt to different levels. If it's fake, it won't beep no matter what level you try, but if you suspect it might be real, it's worth a try at any level. There are videos on YouTube demonstrating this tester and I encourage you to find some of them as it helps to see a real, live person using the tester in deciding whether or not to buy it. In general, if you have a diamond that you think might be real, I think it's worth investing in just to save yourself the embarrassment of going all the way to a diamond dealer, only to find out you really do have cubic zirconia. If the tester beeps "Yes," it's a diamond, that's great, and you should take it to a GIA-certified location.

Cons
